H is for Howlite.
Howlite is named after chemist, geologist, and mineralogist Henry how who discovered it in 1868 in Nova Scotia. Howlite is very porous and can easily be died to imitate other minerals, most often much more expensive turquoise.
The Gemstone Alphabet combines a minimalist aesthetic of bold striped initial letters with geometrically striking and unusual gemstones and minerals. Science..but sexy!
