Shipping policy

1) Where we ship from

Most orders for the UK and EU are dispatched from Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom (Monday–Friday, excluding Scottish bank holidays).

Some larger prints, canvas, framed prints which we do not have the facilities to produce in our studio will be dispatched by our production partner directly to you, from either their UK studio or a studio closer to your country if available.

USA print orders will be dispatched by our partner located in the USA.

2) Processing times (before dispatch)

  • In-stock items (e.g., small goods/gifts): [1–3 business days]

  • Art prints / made-to-order items: [3–4 business days]

  • Canvas prints / framed items: [3–7 business days]
    If your order contains items with different lead times, we’ll ship when everything is ready (see “Split shipments” below).

Business days means Monday–Friday. If there’s a rare production delay, we’ll email you.

3) Shipping options & estimates

Available services and delivery estimates are shown at checkout and depend on your address, basket contents and carrier availability.

Typical guidance (not guaranteed):

  • UK: ~2–4 business days after dispatch

  • EU: ~5–10 business days after dispatch

  • Rest of World: ~7–20 business days after dispatch

Tracking is provided where the chosen service supports it.

4) Prices, duties & taxes (summary)

  • UK customers: Prices shown include UK VAT (where applicable).

  • EU customers: Prices shown include EU VAT (where applicable).

  • Outside UK & EU: Prices shown exclude taxes; your local customs authority/carrier may charge import duties/taxes/fees on delivery.
    Shipping charges are shown at checkout.

5) Address accuracy & safe places

Please check your delivery address (including postcode) carefully. We can amend addresses before dispatch—email shop@diedododa.com ASAP.
If you request delivery to a safe place or neighbour, you’re responsible for parcels delivered according to those instructions.

6) PO Boxes & remote areas

Some carriers can’t deliver to PO Boxes or may apply remote-area surcharges. If that affects your order, we’ll contact you with options.

7) Split shipments

We may ship items separately to get parts of your order to you sooner. You’ll only be charged the shipping fee shown at checkout.

8) Missed deliveries & returned parcels

If a delivery attempt is missed, the carrier will leave instructions for redelivery or collection. Uncollected parcels that return to us can be re-shipped (additional postage may apply) or refunded for the item price (original postage is non-refundable), unless the return was our error.

9) Loss, damage & “where’s my order?”

  • Damage on arrival: Please photograph the packaging and item and contact shop@diedododa.com within 7 days of delivery.

  • Late or lost: If your parcel hasn’t arrived 7 days (UK) / 14 days (EU) / 21 days (Rest of World) after the estimate, contact us so we can investigate with the carrier.
    We may refund or replace once the carrier confirms loss, or once the applicable timeframe has passed.

10) Delivery timeframes & your legal rights

Delivery timeframes are estimates, not guarantees—weather, customs and carrier backlogs can cause delays.
If we can’t deliver within the timeframe shown at checkout, we’ll propose a new reasonable date. If that still doesn’t work, you can cancel for a full refund. This is in addition to your statutory rights.

11) Pre-orders & personalised items

Pre-order and personalised/made-to-order products will show their specific lead times on the product page. Entire orders may wait for these items unless you choose split shipping (if offered at checkout).

12) Ownership & risk

Ownership passes once we receive full payment. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery (or on delivery to a carrier you arranged yourself and that we did not offer).
