A festive squirrel! All drawn the very analog way, with an actual pencil. On paper. If you know me a little bit, you’ll also know that since the release of Apple Pencil, iPad Pro and most importantly @procreate (not an ad), I have dived in head first and embraced working digitally. It’s basically like carrying an entire studio full of paint and supplies in one A4 size piece of equipment/app. Do I miss drawing on paper? Sometimes, of course....the sound and slight roughness of the pencil on it....Then I think about the huge amount of paper, canvas, paint and space I have been saving. It’s a little talked about fact that while creating, learning, perfecting we need to practice. Lots. The more the better. All through our careers. And that leads to a mountain of waste and clutter. Pretty waste/clutter for a while but still mostly rubbish at the end of the day. Of course I will never stop painting/drawing on canvas/paper entirely but now preferably only as pieces for specific spaces for myself or commissions. #analogvsdigital #thoughtsonart #procreateart #digitalart #ipadpro #ipadpencil #lesswaste #squirrel #animalart #rubbishart #stareatartnotwalls #creativelife #creativeedi #pencilsketch #illustratorsoninstagram #woodlandcreature ##maximalistinteriors #artisthome #createresponsibly #makeartthatsells #diedododa
