Yes, this building really exists! Alas it’s the one that’s no quite within the city limits of Edinburgh. It’s actually in Dunmore Park near Airth. The Dunmore pineapple was built as a summer house in 1761 by the Earl of Dunmore.

It featured extensive glasshouses where many exotic fruits were grown. Nowadays it is open to visitors and you can even book to stay in the pineapple!

The Enchanting Edinburgh Art print and greeting card series features a number of iconic landmarks, views and sight from all around the beautiful city of Edinburgh.....intricately illustrated and coloured ...only minus the cars and tourist that might clutter up the views ;)
