...something different for the weekend! While this looks like something that would fit right into my colourful style (albeit not involving living things); at the time that I painted it it was very much an exercise piece with a nod to Impressionist painters with a looser painting style; using exaggerated colours, and everything but black. I think I was around 15 and the idea of “boring” still lives didn’t really appeal to me other than as an exercise exploring styles and techniques. The original is lost I think, but I’m considering reworking it in digital paint format.
