Ta-daa! As promised here are finally a few more pics of the shop restyle and repainting effort. I gave the back part of the shop a dark makeover which I've been itching to do for a while but wanted to wait until I could do it right. I am not an Interior Designer or expert on the subject ,but as an artist and having worked as a painter and decorator for a while, I do know a bit about colours and in turn that if a dark interior isn't done right it has a bit of that "stroppy teenager painted her/his room black" feel. Of course the colour I chose for the ceiling and walls is not completely black but a warm dark grey. Biggest inspiration to finally go anddo this is the lady who in my opinion perfected dark interiors - Abigail Ahern .
The front part and staircase got a bright and slightly mad springtime botanical picnic makeover, all colours and creatures, topping it off with an oversized botanical mural going down the stairs....so even though it seems the weather might be taking a step in the wrong direction - it's all florally-springy fun in here^^
